He remarks that “The Mediterranean is like a piece of art created by a great artist.” Also, according to the Fisherman of Halicarnassus, Aphrodite, the Greek goddess born from the foams of the Mediterranean is nothing but Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. As the goddess Hera was suckling the infant Heracles, her breast milk sprayed across the heavens. And so was the most beautiful ornament of the Mediterranean nights, the Milky Way, created. In the Mediterranean, the sea is in love with the moonlight; the fish with the sea sparkles, the olives with the daphne, the sky with the sun, and the sound of the vawes with the salty scent of seaweeds. Love is everywhere!
With the morning chill, got burnt with the love of the Moon all night long, the stray cats could just fall asleep on the fresh stone yards.
That’s why the Mediterranean is the most magical place on Earth to say ‘Yes!’.
Just listen to the Fisherman of Halicarnassus one more time: “The nature of the Mediterranean is inclined to say ‘Yes’… You want to say ‘Yes’. It’s so easy to say ‘Yes’. The sixth continent is the realm of ‘Yes’, ‘Yes!’”
